As usual, we at Noble Savage Productions have taken the time to provide a great soundtrack for our latest short film. In the past we have had film music composed and performed by Dick Wagner, legendary songwriter and guitar player for Lou Reed and Alice Cooper. This time we have a hard-rockin' version of Hava Nagila arranged and performed by Fred Mandel, best known for his work with Queen and Elton John. "A hard-rockin' version of Hava Nagila?!" That's right! You gotta hear it! Lou Foglia accompanies Fred on thunderous drums. Download the song here. You won't be disappointed!

Wrap that Reuben!

Noble Savage Productions is thrilled to announce that we have wrapped on our latest short film "A Reuben By Any Other Name." The film takes a humorous look at the differences between Orthodox and Reform Judaism played out in terms of the differences between the New York and Los Angeles versions of the Reuben sandwich. In other words, we ask the controversial question, "Is the Reuben sandwich best understood in narrow, unchanging terms or is the Reuben sandwich best understood as a living tradition subject to a variety of equally valid interpretations?" Brilliant performances are provided by an ensemble cast of familiar faces from film and television - Jasmine Anthony (Stephen King's 1408, Commander in Chief), Anita Barone (The War at Home, Daddio), Paul Ben-Victor (In Plain Sight, Entourage), Larry Cedar (The Crazies, Deadwood), Pamela Cedar, Alanna Ubach (Hung, Legally Blonde), and Matt Winston (John from Cincinnati, Little Miss Sunshine). "A Reuben By Any Other Name" will be broadcast on our website www.NobleSavageProductions.com in September.

Rock N Roll Animals: The Lost Interviews

Noble Savage Productions is pleased to release the interviews from its Rock-n-Roll Animals project, a film that never realized its potential due to our inability to secure enough live performance footage. Rock-n-Roll Animals was intended to be a feature-length documentary about guitarists Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner. Hunter and Wagner, most well-known for their extraordinary twin-guitar work on Lou Reed's Rock-n-Roll Animal and Alice Cooper's Welcome to My Nightmare, developed a playing style that saw the songs' lead and rhythm parts divided equally between them and that influenced a wide variety of legendary bands from Aerosmith and Thin Lizzy to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Iron Maiden. Although the Rock-n-Roll Animals project never came to fruition, the interviews with Alice Cooper, Steve Hunter, Dick Wagner and Fred Mandel are absolutely fantastic. So we figured we would give you a chance to see them. We therefore did some basic editing, added music such as Steve Hunter's "Spider Web" and "Rough Trade," and sent the interviews out into the world. Enjoy!
